Band Camp Concert and Potluck

The Band Camp Concert and Potluck will be Friday beginning at 6:00 pm (Not 5 pm as mentioned in an earlier email) in the Lunch Quad. For the Potluck the following sections bring the following items:

Brass Instruments – Side Dishes
Woodwinds – Entrees
Color Guard – Desserts
Percussion – Salads
The Band Camp Concert will be at 7:00 pm next to the Lunch Quad.

Orchestra Camp Concert

The Orchestra Concert will be Thursday at 1:40 PM. At this time the Orchestra Concert will be in the Band Room

If you’ve signed up to volunteer via Sign Up Genious and are not seeing email communications in your email inbox then check your spam folder and flag those emails to go to your inbox. We’re getting reports that many are saying they’ve received no communication. However, emails are going out so please check your spam folder.



Band Camp Update

Band Camp is still taking place! However, due to the Track replacement work being done inside Mt Carmel Sundevil Stadium there is a change on where field practice will take place.

Saturday still takes place on the football field

Monday through Friday we will be on the lower grass field which is near the baseball diamonds. This area has been striped with football yard lines:

Monday 10-2:30
Tuesday 10:30-3
Wednesday 10-2:30
Thursday 10-3
Friday 10-3

All other locations remain the same (Clinicians, etc in various classrooms (8 am – 10 am), Field Show Music Rehearsal in the Quad (3 pm – 5 pm)).



Band Camp 2022 and other info! WE NEED YOU!

As many of you know, Mt. Carmel’s award-winning music program has a long tradition and we are looking forward to yet another successful year. However, to maintain that momentum we certainly need your help. There are many activities that will be taking place throughout the year to which you can contribute and show your support, through donations in support of those activities, or by volunteering during such events.

There are a number of groups such as Band Moms, Uniform Moms, Band Dads, Color Guard Patents, Orchestra Parents, and Tournament volunteers, to name a few.

For those of you that were not able to join us at our last Registration Night, we are planning to host a few smaller information sessions where you can still submit the Music Program Registration and Medical Release Forms as well as ask questions about the programs and volunteer activities.

These follow-up sessions are planned for:

Friday, August 5, 2022: 6:30 – 8:00 PM

Saturday, August 06, 2022: 7:00 – 9:00 AM (at the start of the Band Camp Freshmen Day)

Monday, August 8, 2022: 7:00 – 9:00 AM (at the start of the Band Camp)

We ask that donations be dropped off in the band hall either Friday evening, August 5, or Saturday morning, August 6, anytime before 9 AM.

Band and Orchestra Families: Please note that our Annual End of Summer Concert and Potluck will be taking place combined on August 12, 2022, beginning at 5:00 PM followed by performances from our Orchestra musicians and our Marching band scheduled around 6:00 PM.  More details will be provided by our Camp organizers.
