Prop Repair Work

Band Dad’s! We will be getting together on Saturday, August 12th to work on and repair props and Pit items. If you’re interested in helping out here’s the info below:

When: Saturday, August 12, 2023
Where: Outside next to the Mt Carmel Band Room
When: 7:00 am until whenever we get tired or get to a point in the projects where they may need to continue at a later date.
What to bring: If you have any tools such as wrenches, socket wrenches, screwdrivers, etc. Work gloves.

Note: MC Admin said that on the 12th there will be no power to the school due to the company installing the solar panels doing some hookup work. So it’s manual labor for sure.

Uniform Fitting 2023-2024

MCHS Band Students, Parents, and Guardians,

*For freshmen and new band students, please have a parent/guardian with you at the fitting. Please be ready to pay for marching shoes and a red polo if needed.

*For returning students, if your marching shoes and red polo still fit you, you don’t need to purchase a new pair/new shirt. Please try on your shoes and your red polo at home to confirm. (This is a good time to look for your marching shoes and red polo.)

*Please be ready to put longer hair into a tight bun style for shako fitting.

When you sign up, please put in the student’s name as a reference. Please also leave a best cell phone number for contact and updates.

If there should be any schedule changes, or if you need to schedule a time outside of these time slots, please text Nicole at (858)395-4687, and we will try to accommodate as best we can.

Band Camp Information for 2023

BAND CAMP INFORMATION for 2023

Band Camp is coming up! Here are some dates for you to keep in mind!

August 5th, 8:00 am – 2:00 pm  Freshmen/New Student Orientation Day with all Marching Band. Percussion, Color Guard, and Section Leaders. Bring your instrument, music, sunscreen, water (a large thermos works best), a wide-brimmed hat, tennis-type shoes, and loose, light clothes (shorts and a T-shirt) for the outdoor work in the stadium.

August 7th – 11th 7:25 AM-5:00 PM All Band/Guard Camp. Remember, missing camp could result in you being placed as an alternate for our 2023 show! Bring your instrument, music, sunscreen, water (a large thermos works best), a wide-brimmed hat, tennis-type shoes, and loose, light clothes (shorts and a T-shirt) for the outdoor work in the stadium. Lunch will be provided on these days.

August 8th – 11 10:00 am – 2:00 pm Orchestra Camp

August 11th, 5:30 pm Band Camp Concert & Orchestra Camp Concert Featuring performances by the Color Guard, Percussion, Marching Band, and Orchestra. This year the concert will be first beginning at 5:30 followed by the Potluck around 6:30’ish depending on when the performances are finished.
