This is an ALL CALL for all Mount Carmel Music Parents to come to a brief meeting tonight (Wednesday) at 7:00 PM in the Music Building to help kick off a potentially HUGE fundraiser for out program and receive information on how to help with the Mount Carmel Tournament of Bands! We need “ALL HANDS ON DECK” as just showing up at 7:00 to this meeting will generate potentially $500 donation from our fundraising partner, Custom Fundraising Solutions!

Friday Sept. 13- Football Game: Call time 5:30 We will dress in full-uniform!

Saturday Sept. 14th-VERY IMPORTANT Rehearsal with our Choreographer 8:00 AM-12:00

Poway Days Parade is Saturday, September 7th! Call Time is 8:00 AM at the Smart & Final/.99c Store Parking lot. (Corner of Pomerado and Poway Road).

Attire: Red Polo, Black shorts, White Crew Socks (no logos), and White Tennis Shoes. No hats, headscarves or jewelry are allowed, but sunglasses are acceptable.

Parents are responsible for dropping off your student and picking them up after the parade. Pick up is just west of the corner of Community and Poway Road in the strip mall next to Walgreens. Families are encouraged to watch the parade and cheer on the band. Best viewing spots are near the announcer’s booth. The Parade starts at 9:00 AM. MC is number 46 in the parade (about the middle)

It’s that time of the year again… time for the Tournament T-shirt Design Contest!

Students must submit their “Kaleidoscope of Mind” T-shirt design by the end of the day on Tuesday, September 10, 2019. Put final design idea in the T-shirt Design Contest envelope hanging in the band room or e-mail the design idea to Joan Schwenker at jschwenker@roadrunner.com.

Please Note: Design will only be printed in three colors (black, white, and another color, like yellow).

The winner will be chosen by the Tournament Committee, and the Committee reserves the right to alter the logo as needed. The design winner will receive a free Tournament T-shirt and be forever recorded in the long and illustrious history of the Mt. Carmel Tournament of Bands!

On Sunday, September 29, 2019, Mt Carmel High School Music and Color Guard is pleased to host a one of a kind fundraising event. This event has been VERY successful for us and thousands of school districts all over the country, for over ten years. We are excited to bring it back for the 3rd time to Mt Carmel High School.

EACH student is responsible for:

• Finding at least one referral to come in and check out the sale.

• Handing out your referral flyers to people you know.

• Volunteering for one shift on Sunday, September 29, 2019 to help promote the event and have FUN!

All sizes, all styles, and name brand sets are available up to 50% below retail. There will be a showroom set up with 20+ displays and a team of experts to assist. Layaway & delivery are available.
