Mt Carmel 2021 Winter Concert

We are incredibly excited to welcome you to our annual Winter Concert on Thursday, December 16th at 7:00 PM in the Mt. Carmel High School Gymnasium. Call time for all students is 6:00 PM. In order to offer the best possible experience for students and families while keeping everyone safe, we ask that you please note the following information:

Admission / Tickets:

  • This year, we ask that all families reserve tickets in advance, as there will be very limited quantities available at the door. Admission is $15 for center seating, $12 for general for all attendees, plus a processing fee.
  • To purchase, please visit the following website or use this QR code:
  • You may also manually search the event:

    • Search “Mt Carmel High School” or “Mt Carmel Music Foundation”
    • Select “Winter Concert”
  • General Seating is available by section. We ask that all families sit together to allow for
    social distancing. Please keep in mind that because we are using the gymnasium, a
    majority of our seating will be in bleachers. For those who may need accommodations,
    please purchase floor seating instead (which we would like to reserve for the
    handicapped/elderly). You may view the seating chart below.
  • Upon check out, your tickets will be emailed to you. You can then print or store them on your
    phone and simply show them to our ushers at the door. Please make sure to sit in your assigned


  • After dropping off your student at call time, we invite you to join us for concessions prior
    to the performance and during intermission.
  • No food/drink will be permitted inside the gym

Additional Considerations:

  • Masks are required at all times when inside the gym, regardless of vaccination
    status. Both students and audience members will be asked to keep theirs on at all times.
  • Extra masks will be available upon entry.
  • We ask that you remain seated in your assigned section for the duration of the concert.
  • Families may greet students outside the venue upon the conclusion of the concert. Please
    do not approach students when indoors.
  • There will be separate entrances and exits into the gym.

Winter Drumline Parent Meeting Info!

Is your student joining the Mt Carmel Winter Drumline 2022 Season?  If so, you don’t want to miss the upcoming Parents Meeting this Friday, December 10th at 5:15 in the Band Room. Topics discussed will be schedule, costs, logistics, show concept, and what you will get from your commitment. Don’t miss out on this informative meeting!

Congratulations on an outstanding regular season! Mt. Carmel finished the regular season ranked 2nd  in SCSBOA 6A!!!

Week of November 15th

Friday-Call time 5:15 PM Football Game performance at Half Time! We will leave the stadium after our show and load Semi for Arcadia. Get a good night’s rest, we have a big day Saturday.

Saturday-Championships Day!

Call time for EVERYONE-7:00 AM at Mt. Carmel

Everyone must ride up on the bus! Parents: if you are driving up to Citrus College, you may take your student home with you after awards. Please provide Ms. Francis a written note by this Thursday!

Load buses and leave as soon as we load.

Buses arrive at Santa Anita Racetrack parking lot for Parade. Parade Band gets ready. Non parade band goes with Band Moms to the Parade route to watch the parade and then follow the band to Arcadia High School for Awards. Parade Band competes at 12:20 PM.

AFOB Performance Order 11-5-21

Parade band changes back into street clothes at the buses. Awards at 2:00 at the Arcadia High School Stadium. This year, we will eat at Arcadia High school for an early dinner! Arcadia High School will have plenty of food choices. (Students should bring money for dinner or bring their own food for dinner).

3:30 PM-load buses and leave for Citrus College

4:15 PM-arrive at Citrus College. Senior Line!

5:00 PM Stretch and change into uniform

7:08 PM Mt. Carmel Performs for the 6A Championship!

8:00 PM line up for the Band Retreat in stadium. Stay in uniform…no shakos!

8:30 PM Awards in Full Retreat

9:00PM-back to buses, change into street clothes and load buses.

11:45 PM-12:00 AM- arrive back at MC!

Meet at Mt. Carmel Band Room-We will be taking buses to the tournament.

Call Time is 4:45 PM Buses leave as soon as we are loaded.

Directions to Rancho Buena Vista High School 
From Interstate 5:
• Take Hwy 78 East about 5.5 miles to S. Melrose Dr.
• Turn right on S. Melrose Dr. and go about 2 miles to Shadowridge Dr.
• Turn right on Shadowridge Dr. and right on Longhorn Dr.
From Interstate 15:
• Take Hwy 78 West about 7 miles to Sycamore Ave.
• Turn left on Sycamore Ave. and right on Shadowridge Dr.
• Take Shadowridge Dr. about 2.2 miles and turn right on Longhorn Dr.
Note: The large parking lot is primarily reserved for buses, equipment trucks, and directors. Paid parking is available for
$10. Spectator parking is available along marked areas of Melrose Dr. Shadowridge Dr. and Longhorn Dr. See map for

Return to Mt. Carmel by 10:15-10:30 PM

*Note: Monday is a minimum day and we have called a Parade Band rehearsal 1:15-2:00 on the street! Bring a sack lunch or get food at lunch break during the school day.

Congratulations to all for hosting another Great Mt. Carmel Tournament of Bands!

Wednesday: Evening rehearsal 6:00 PM-7:30 Use the extra personal time to catch up on homework or just de-stress from all your hard work! NO PARADE!!! 6:00 Call for EVERYONE!!!

Friday: Load Semi for Saturday (Don’t forget to take home your instrument/equipment for Saturday

Saturday: Mira Mesa High School Tournament! 

Call time at Mira Mesa High School. Please Drop off your student at Mira Mesa High School on Mira Mesa Blvd.
